Data and privacy
What we store
We store event names, dates, time ranges, slot lengths, event time zones, participant names, availability, and one-way password hashes. Passwords are optional and are not stored as plain text. Use a nickname and avoid entering sensitive information in an event.
Who can see your information
Anyone with the event link can view its name, participant list, and each person’s available times. A link is not a confidentiality agreement; share it only with intended participants. Event pages ask search engines not to index them, but this does not control access.
Editing your response
Use a separate name for each event and an optional password, with no length or character rules. If you set a password, you must enter the same password to return and edit. Without a password, anyone who knows the event link and name can leave the password empty to sign in, edit, or delete that response. Necessary cookies remember your event identity for up to 30 days. Sign out after using a shared computer. Password recovery is not currently available.
Deletion and retention
After signing in, use “Manage my data” to delete your name, password hash, and availability. Other participants’ responses are not affected. Events and undeleted responses do not currently expire automatically. Service administrators can manage stored data; backup retention depends on the deployment settings.
Necessary technical information
The service uses IP addresses to limit request rates. Hosting providers may keep their own connection logs. The website itself does not load advertising, trackers, or third-party fonts.
Language
The website is available in English and Traditional Chinese. On your first visit to the home page, it checks your browser language preference; you can also use the language menu. A manual choice is saved in a separate language cookie for up to one year, distinct from the event identity cookie that lasts up to 30 days. Language settings change interface text without translating or modifying event names, participant names, or availability you enter.
When you switch language while creating an event, the unsent event draft is temporarily stored in the same tab’s sessionStorage and removed after restoration. This draft does not include passwords or CSRF tokens.
Time zones
The page reads your device time zone and shows it for you to confirm or change manually. It does not request GPS location. An event stores the time zone selected at creation, and availability is stored as UTC timestamps. Your display time zone is sent to this same website for conversion and stays in the current page URL. Changing it does not change the actual moments you selected.
